OAKLAND -- Four people, including three attending a one-year anniversary gathering for a homicide victim, were shot Tuesday night within 20 minutes in West and East Oakland, police said.
All the victims are expected to recover from their wounds. No arrests have been made so far and no motives established.
Three of the wounded were shot by a drive-by gunman about 9:45 p.m. at an entrance to Lowell Park near 12th and Filbert streets in West Oakland.
Wounded were a 57-year-old woman, a 49-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, police said. They were among a group remembering Kenneth Jones Jr. 20, who was fatally shot Aug. 27, 2012, in the 800 block of Adeline Street, police said.
All three were able to get to a hospital on their own and they were in stable condition. Their names were not released. No one else was injured.
At 9:29 p.m., a 34-year-old man was shot while walking in the 1900 block of East 15th Street in East Oakland.
He was taken by ambulance to a hospital and was in stable condition. He was uncooperative with police.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $15,000 in reward money in the West Oakland shooting and up to $5,000 in the other shooting for information leading to the arrest of suspects.
