SAN PABLO -- Investigators need the public's help in identifying two men and a woman wanted in the attempted murder of a 48-year-old man they may have met in a San Pablo nightclub last month,¿ police said Thursday.

Detectives have limited information about what occurred between about 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Sept. 8, but they hope surveillance video from the Noya Restaurant and Lounge at 14350 Laurie Lane will help them identify the three people who physically assaulted a San Pablo man. The victim was hurt so badly that he remains hospitalized with a head injury and is unable to provide details of the beating to police.

"We've exhausted all of our leads in finding out who these people are and we need the public's help," said Lt. Jeff Palmieri. Police don't know why the man was assaulted on San Pablo Avenue about 2:15 a.m. or if the suspects and the victim had words or fought inside the club before they went outside. The victim is not seen on the video but the three suspects are shown sitting at a table, drinking and talking.

Police describe one man as a heavyset Hispanic man in his 20s with short brown hair and a small goatee who was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.

The second suspect is described as a heavyset Hispanic man in his 20s who was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

The woman in the video is also Hispanic and in her 20s. She is heavyset and was wearing a gray sleeveless blouse, black pants and brown boots. She has long black hair to her lower back. Police said the woman drove the two men from the area following the assault.

Anyone who recognizes the three people or has information about them should call the San Pablo Police Investigations unit at 510-215-3150.
