FREMONT -- People can dispose of unused or unwanted prescription medication next week at Kaiser Hospital.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Fremont hospital.
Kaiser Hospital in Fremont is at 39400 Paseo Padre Parkway. Participants are encouraged to enter the parking lot from Stevenson Boulevard. Signs will be posted there to direct motorists to the exact location.
The free event is being co-hosted by Kaiser Permanente, Fremont police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Organizers said the goal is to provide a safe and convenient way for people to get rid of prescription medications, with no questions asked.
