Amazingly enough, some people don't entirely hate a long commute to work, finding ways to make the experience more palatable. Here are some tips from Today.com:

  • Aromatherapy works in the car, not just the spa. A study from the University of Miami School of Medicine recommends the relaxing, de-stressing effects of a lavender scent. And peppermint can help keep you more alert and responsive on long drives.

  • Carpooling not only helps reduce pollution and traffic but can relieve stress for driver and passengers too.

  • Classical music and audio books can help to de-stress and keep you entertained during a drive or long ride on public transit.

While most of the commuting workforce curses time spent in frustration on roads and public transit, some folks have found ways to mitigate the pain.
