Casey Kasem's children won't get control over their sick father's life -- yet -- as a judge on Tuesday denied their request for a temporary conservatorship, according to TMZ.
Kasem's children were asking a judge to recognize that their father's wife, Jean Kasem, isn't providing the radio legend the care he needs, and is keeping them from seeing him.
A Southern California judge said Tuesday he is confidant the issue of visitation can be worked out by attorneys on both sides.
Right. They all seem to be getting along pretty swell so far.
The judge also said a temporary conservatorship isn't necessary because Kasem -- who has advanced Parkinson's -- isn't "at risk" and is getting the treatment he needs at home.
According to TMZ, Jean Kasem offered her stepchildren a deal: Drop their bid for a conservatorship and she would give them each regularly scheduled, though somewhat brief, visits with Kasem. She also offered to notify them if and when he's hospitalized. Kasem's children rejected the offer.
