OAKLAND -- A woman who jumped from the third deck of the Coliseum after Sunday's Raiders game has been identified as a 20-year-old San Jose resident, authorities said Wednesday.
Her name was not released. She remains in critical condition after Donnie Navidad, 61, of Stockton broke her 45-foot fall and was injured himself. He is back home and recovering.
Police are still investigating why the woman jumped and if drugs or alcohol or both played a factor in the incident.
Navidad was on the second deck concourse level about 4:30 p.m. Sunday when he noticed the woman above, and repeatedly shouted, "Don't do it," said Alameda County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson.
The game had been over about 15 minutes when the woman jumped. She had gone to the west upper deck seating area in a section covered by a tarp, police said, and it appeared she was alone before she jumped.
