Scottsdale Sgt. Mark Clark told the Arizona Republic that a 12-person Ford transport van collided with a Kia Sedan near the organization's minor league facility at Indian School Park.
The five players sent to the hospital were Bryce Bandilla, Adalberto Mejia, Dan Slania, Jeff Soptic and Kelby Tomlinson. All five players were treated for minor injuries and will be monitored over the next 24 hours, the Giants said.
"Everyone is okay from this morning! Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts," Bandilla tweeted.
Many of the organization's top prospects had just arrived in Scottsdale for a conditioning camp. The players are typically shuttled back and forth in large vans similar to the one used Tuesday morning.
The crash was the second major accident involving Giants prospects this offseason. Gustavo Cabrera, a 17-year-old outfielder, nearly lost his right hand in late October when he slipped and put his hand through a plate of glass. Cabrera is thought to be facing more than a year of rehab.
