One of the kids from the original "The Sound of Music" wasn't very pleased with NBC's live remake, which aired Thursday night.

Kym Karath, who played Gretl Von Trapp in the original "The Sound of Music" movie, was left "mystified and disappointed" after viewing the show with two other former cast members, according to TMZ.

Karath tweeted during the show, "Mystified & disappointed so far by SOM special. So far only happy with Stephen Moyer." She followed up with "Must admit some scenes are actually painful to watch."

The only thing mystifying is why anyone thought this was a good idea.

Karath also tweeted "Love Carrie Underwood but this role is just not right for her. She is lovely her voice is beautiful but acting is wrong."

Karath reportedly watched the show with former co-stars Charmian Carr (Liesl Von Trapp) and Angela Cartwright (Brigitta Von Trapp).

Then again, maybe NBC's big idea wasn't so mystifying. TMZ reported the show had 18.5 million viewers.
