SAN JOSE -- San Jose State seniors Chandler Jones and Bené Benwikere have accepted invitations to play in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 18 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Jones, a wide receiver, is the Spartans' all-time leader in career receptions with 248 and touchdowns catches with 29. Benwikere, a cornerback, shares the school's career interception record of 14. Both players were first-team All-Mountain West Conference selections this season.
Wallace, a product of Oak Grove High-San Jose, was a redshirt freshman for the Huskies and must sit out next season. He would join SJSU's roster in 2015 and have two remaining seasons of eligibility.
Wallace was No. 6 on the Bay Area News Group's 2012 Cream of the Crop, which ranks the area's top high school recruits.
Kyle Wright, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamongo was the lone JC player expected to sign, per Scout.com.
