SUNNYVALE -- Firefighters were able to isolate a two-alarm Tuesday morning fire at a north Sunnyvale office building mostly to the roof, authorities said.
The fire was reported about 6:45 a.m. at a one-story office park in the 200 block of Caspian Drive, said Capt. Carl Rushmeyer of the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
An arriving engine crew saw smoke and flames coming from the roof, and the size of the building prompted a second alarm and more personnel that brought the response to as many as 30 firefighters.
They extinguished the fire within 15 minutes and prevented it from spreading to the attic and most of the building's interior, preserving most of the building's contents, Rushmeyer said. The building was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.
A cause for the fire remains under investigation.
