DALY CITY -- An ambulance responded to a medical call in Daly City early Monday morning after an ambulance was stolen and taken for a quick joy ride before it was recovered, a Daly City police sergeant said.
The ambulance was taken around 12:20 a.m. from the 500 block of Schwerin Street, Daly City police Sgt. Harold Rolfes said.
The ambulance was found a short time later about two blocks away, and was undamaged, Rolfes said.
No suspects are in custody in connection with the brief theft, he said.
