SAN LEANDRO -- A Bank of the West branch was robbed Wednesday afternoon of an undisclosed amount of cash, but no one was injured.

The bank at 15075 Farnsworth Street was robbed at 2:15 p.m., said San Leandro police Lt. Randall Brandt.

Police said a white man, about 30 years old and standing about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 125 lbs. entered the bank and handed a note to a teller demanding money. He was wearing a black knit cap and a dark colored long sleeve shirt and jeans, police said.

A weapon was not seen. The teller handed over the money and the man left. Police said investigators are examining forensic evidence but no arrests have been made.
