WATCH THIS:

  • "The 56th Annual Grammy Awards" (8 p.m., CBS): Yes, Jay Z leads the pack with nine nominations, but this is the one awards show where we care more about the performances than the trophies. And what a list of stars we have this year, including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Willie Nelson, Stevie Wonder, Metallica, and Carole King, just to name a few. Returning to host the festivities from Los Angeles is LL Cool J.

  • "The Bachelor: Sean & Catherine's Wedding" (8 p.m., ABC): OK, apparently not all installments of this dating show end in bitter tears, finger-pointing and tabloid-fueled acrimony. This special follows 2013 "Bachelor" Sean Lowe as he prepares to get hitched to Catherine Guidici in Santa Barbara.

  • "True Detective" (9 p.m., HBO): The mesmerizing limited series continues to weave its spell. In tonight's episode, Cohle and Hart (Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson) find a hidden image they hope can lead them to the mysterious serial killer they seek.
