Travel experts Rick Steves, Samantha Brown, Bert Kreischer and Patricia Schultz will deliver keynote talks when the South Bay hosts the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show this weekend.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Highlights include:

  • Steves, long known for his expertise on Western Europe, is now talking up travel to Eastern Europe, Central America and Iran. He'll speak at 10:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Saturday and at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

  • Travel Channel host Brown ("The Trip: 2014") will talk at 1:15 p.m. both days, while Kreischer (host of the Travel Channel's "Trip Flip") will give a program at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

  • Author Schultz ("1,000 Places to See Before You Die") will appear once, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

    Besides talks, the show will feature more than 200 travel exhibitors, culinary demos, specialty seminars, a zipline, a rock-climbing wall and dance performances.
