Reports that Justin Bieber has eluded punishment in egg-gate appear to be premature.

Detectives are "tightening up the case" and may meet with prosecutors in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office sometime next week, Lt. David Thompson told CNN. Prosecutors reportedly reviewed security video Monday and want detectives to investigate further before a decision regarding charges is reached.

A neighbor has accused the 19-year-old singer of throwing eggs at his home on Jan. 9, causing an estimated $20,000 in damages. Sheriff's deputies executed a search of Bieber's home less than a week later and took security video footage as evidence.

Bieber also faces legal trouble in Miami, where he was arrested during a traffic stop last week. He will be arraigned Feb. 14 and faces possible charges of driving under the influence, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest.
