  • Winter Olympics (7:30 p.m., NBC): It's time to invite Bob Costas into your home for a couple of weeks as the Opening Ceremony kicks off the winter games in earnest. (Just tell him to keep his feet off the couch). Expect plenty of intense competition, as well as mushy personal profiles designed to make your eyes all soggy.

  • "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" (10 p.m., Food Network): In the hourlong season premiere, Guy takes viewers on a tour of Ferndale, Calif., the little town where he grew up. On the menu: The Loleta Cheese Factory, the Ferndale Meat Company, and the watering hole where Guy got his start.
