The wreck happened at 9:05 a.m. when the car ran into a single-family home in the 300 block of Klamath Street, according to the North County Fire Authority. The wreck caused the home's natural gas to leak, and police and fire crews responded by evacuating eight homes in the area and shutting down access to the street.

PG&E crews also responded, and the leak was fixed in approximately two hours, according to the agency.
