Just a few weeks after being a finalist for the city manager job in Dallas, Oakland City Administrator Deanna Santana has been named one of four finalists to become city manager of Phoenix.
Santana, 43, has said she is looking for other jobs as her boss, Mayor Jean Quan, seeks re-election this November. She was one of three finalists for the Dallas job that ended up going to an in-house candidate.
The four finalists in Phoenix include Santana, Phoenix Deputy City Manager Rick Naimark, Acting Phoenix City Manager Ed Zuercher and former Cincinnati City Manager Milton Dohoney, Jr., the city announced Tuesday.
The Phoenix City Council is scheduled to interview the finalists on Feb. 19 and discuss the appointment later that day.
