BERKELEY -- A man wanted for a gang-related shooting in Santa Rosa last year was arrested by the FBI and Berkeley police on Sunday, authorities said Wednesday.
Samuel Fessemaye Tewolde, 30, of Santa Rosa, was wanted for attempted murder, weapons charges, conspiracy and racketeering charges related to a Sept. 5 shooting. Authorities did not release further details about the crime.
Tewolde remains in custody and appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday.
The investigation of Tewolde was a joint effort of the FBI, the California Highway Patrol, the Santa Rosa Police Department, the Sonoma County District Attorney's office, the Sonoma County Sheriff's office and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
