OAKLAND -- Two people slain by gunfire in East Oakland this week were identified by police Friday.

Damon Smith, 36, was one of four people shot Wednesday night in the 3700 block of International Boulevard in the Fruitvale district.

The three other people who were wounded in the shooting will recover, police said. One is a 24-year-old man who has been uncooperative with police and the others are women, ages 18 and 26.

Police still don't have a motive for the shooting and don't know which of the four was the intended target. Smith was an Oakland resident.

A 44-year-old woman shot to death Monday night at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of 88th Avenue was identified as Elizabeth Keller, who lived in another part of Oakland.

Police don't have a motive yet in her killing and are not sure what she was doing at the apartment. No one there has said they knew her, police said.

The killings are not believed to be related, police said.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $25,000 in reward money in the Smith shooting and up to $10,000 in the Keller case for information leading to the arrest of suspects. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
