SACRAMENTO -- The Warriors have reached agreement on a deal to acquire veteran guard Steve Blake from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for guards Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks.
Blake, who turns 34 next week, averaged 9.5 points, 7.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds in the final year of his four-year $16 million contract for the struggling Lakers.
The trade allowed the Warriors to grab a veteran guard while still leaving them roughly $400,000 under the luxury tax.
Bazemore,24, was a second-year player who played in 44 games this season and was used primarily in situations on defense, gaining notoriety as a positive bench presence.
Brooks, 25, played in seven games for Golden State after being acquired from Boston along with point guard Jordan Crawford.
