The story going around about Justin Bieber's new neighbors staging a protest against the singer moving into Atlanta's exclusive Buckhead neighborhood was a hoax, according to E! News.

Instead of the reported 200 people who supposedly signed a petition supporting Monday's "demonstration," it was actually six interns from Rock 100.5's The Regular Guys show.

Got us.

Show host Steve Rickman told E! they put the interns in nice clothes. "They looked more like bad attorneys." The interns, pretending to be part of a made-up Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition, carried signs saying "She doesn't want the 'B'," "No Justins, no peace," "Keep Bieber Out," "No Bieber in Buckhead" and less family-friendly anti-Bieber turns of phrase.

"We just sent tweets out, and that's it--just social media," said Rickman. "We did not send press releases or anything like that to our local affiliates. We're really not trying to, you know, burn everybody -- we're just doing something fun."

It was way funner when we thought it was real.

The Regular Guys show team said it was "floored by the response" their protest prank drew internationally from outlets including CNN, BBC News and TMZ. "We just did it as a fun thing," said Rickman. "I mean it spun completely (out of control) ... We're blown away. It's a home run when you're a morning radio show."

In other exciting Justin Bieber news -- and, really, is there any other kind? -- TMZ reported that Bieber will reject the most recent plea deal offered by prosecutors in his Miami Beach DUI case, because Bieber doesn't want random drug tests.

Justin Bieber should go ahead and just start wearing shirts saying "Where's the SIZZURP?"

The website said the offer is pretty standard in Miami Beach for first-time DUI offenders. It also includes community service and an alcohol education course.

J-Bizzle, apparently, don't play that.

Sources connected to Bieber told TMZ Bieber's team won't take the deal because they believe the prosecutors have big holes in their case. Specifically, they think the cop lied when he said Bieber reeked of alcohol (he only blew a .014). They also think he didn't tell the truth about seeing Bieber drag racing, since his car's GPS device registered a very reasonable 27 MPH.

Ah yeah ... J-Bizzle gots 5-0 right where he wants 'em.

Bieber also doesn't want to be on probation, where any minor screw-up means a harsher consequences.

It must be nice to be able to plan for your next arrest.

And, not surprisingly, sources also told TMZ Bieber doesn't want to take alcohol education classes, in which he could be the center of a spectacle.

Bieber is reportedly open to a plea deal, just not this one.
