PETALUMA -- A teenage girl was arrested for DUI and driving without a license in Petaluma Tuesday evening, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a solo vehicle crash in the area of Sonoma Mountain Parkway and Linnet Lane at about 5:45 p.m., police said.

When officers arrived, they found a car, driven by a 16-year-old girl, had struck a curb along Sonoma Mountain Parkway, according to police.

No other cars were involved in the crash and no one was injured, police said.

Police said an officer smelled alcohol coming from the teen driver, who had not yet been issued a driver's license, and conducted a series of field sobriety tests.

The girl was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of DUI and driving without a license.

The name of the girl is being withheld because she is a juvenile.
