OAKLAND -- Police are looking for three men believed to have committed a series of armed robberies at North Oakland businesses.

Since Feb. 21, the suspects have robbed at least five businesses on San Pablo, College and Telegraph avenues, the major thoroughfares of North Oakland and its Temescal and Rockridge shopping districts.

On Monday, armed robberies of an ice cream shop on College and a phone store on Telegraph occurred within one hour, police said.

The suspects have used a 2007 silver Dodge Nitro with a license plate of 6DEK551. Police have released photographs of the car and the three suspects, who are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the car, the suspects or the robberies is asked to call police at 510-777-32111 or text TIP OAKLANDPD to 888777 from a cell phone and then include a tip. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
