SAN FRANCISCO -- A Fremont health organization dedicated to preventing cancer will hold a conference Saturday in the Presidio.
The Cancer Prevention Institute of California's 13th annual Breast Cancer Conference is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Golden Gate Club, at 135 Fisher Loop, near Sheridan Avenue, in San Francisco.
Designed for patients, their families and friends, the event will feature presentations from health care professionals on topics that include prevention, medical treatment, and the roles that genetics, lifestyle and neighborhoods play in cancer risk.
Patients and family members also will discuss the toll that the disease takes on relationships.
The conference is open to the public. A $20 registration fee includes breakfast and lunch. Parking is free.
