John Travolta should send President Obama a thank-you card for turning his miscue into yesterday's news.

Less than a week after Travolta butchered Idina Menzel's name at the Oscars, the president flubbed the spelling of Aretha Franklin's iconic song while praising the singer during a White House celebration Thursday night.

"When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her, she had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African-Americans and women and then anyone who felt marginalized," Obama said during an event for the women of soul, which was captured on video.

Franklin was in attendance with Patti LaBelle, Ariana Grande, Melissa Etheridge, Janelle Monae, Jill Scott and Tessanne Chin, according to the New York Daily News.
