The 49ers have more than made up for the players they lost in free agency in the Jim Harbaugh era with the unrestricted free agents they've signed the past three seasons.

Not all of the additions have met expectations (Randy Moss, Mario Manningham and Nnamdi Asomugha to name three), but such standouts as Donte Whitner, Carlos Rogers, Jonathan Goodwin, Glenn Dorsey and Phil Dawson have played key roles in the 49ers' success.
