Chris Pine was arrested on suspicions of DUI in New Zealand after reportedly blowing through a sobriety checkpoint and then blowing the .08 percent blood-alcohol legal limit, according to TMZ.

The 33-year-old actor was pulled over March 1 after attending a wrap party for "Z for Zachariah," according to E! News.

New Zealand police reportedly released a statement saying a 33-year-old American was charged with driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit of .08 percent.

They did not identify the man, but we're going to go ahead and say it was Chris Pine, because professional journalists just know these things.

Actually, TMZ reported Pine was partying at a bar with some fellow actors and his girlfriend Iris Bjork Johannesdottir.

Just for fun, try saying that name three times fast.

E! News confirmed that police say Pine drove through their checkpoint. No word on whether his shields were up and he was firing photon torpedoes.

C'mon, you knew there was going to be a bad Star Trek joke in here somewhere.

Pine is due to appear in court Monday. TMZ quoted a police source saying Pine was very polite and "easy to deal with."
