ALAMEDA -- A body pulled from the Alameda Marina last Friday has been identified as a 36-year-old missing Alameda man.
The cause of death for Robert Rea is pending toxicology reports by the Alameda County Coroner's office. Those reports can take four to six weeks. Alameda police Lt. Jill Ottaviano said a person working on a boat last Friday afternoon spotted the floating body and called police.
Rea was last seen on Feb. 15 about 4 p.m. by roommates and was reported missing four days later after he failed to return calls and texts, police said.
Friends found the man's car parked at the Grand Marina parking lot on Feb. 21.
Ottaviano said the case remains under investigation but foul play is not suspected.
