NORTH RICHMOND -- After burying one son last month, a North Richmond family is seeking donations to help pay for the funeral of another son shot dead on Saturday night.

Nelson Earl Hamilton III, 23, was shot and killed on the 1600 block of First Street at 10 p.m. He is the third brother killed in his family since 2011. His older brother, 30-year-old Earl Hamilton, was shot and killed outside a Pinole bar Feb. 2.

Five people were arrested for the elder Hamilton's killing this week, and investigators are trying to determine if Nelson Hamilton's death is related. The brothers were at the Pinole bar with other friends.

A third brother, Marquis Hamilton, was fatally shot in November 2011 in North Richmond.

Donations can be made to the Nelson Earl Hamilton Memorial Association at any Bank of America branch.

This week, the victims' stepmother, Lynn Hamilton, called for no retaliations for the killings of the men she helped raise.

"Do I want somebody to feel how I feel? No," she said.
