CASTRO VALLEY -- A Castro Valley man is being sought by police after his wife was found shot to death inside the family's home Friday.
Authorities say Feng Mi, who turned 46 on Saturday, is missing and considered armed and dangerous. One of two guns that had been in the house in the 19000 block of Stanton Avenue is missing. He is driving a 2013 silver Toyota Rav4 with paper plates, possibly from the Dublin Toyota dealership.
"We are actively looking for him," said Alameda County sheriff's Deputy April Luckett.
The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Yunyi Zhang, a mother of two, according to Luckett. She was found around 4 p.m. Friday by her 14-year-old daughter, who was not at home at the time of the shooting, Luckett said.
Police say they have responded to the home several times over the past few years for domestic violence disturbances. The couple's children are being kept at an undisclosed location to protect their safety.
Anyone with information about Mi's whereabouts is asked to contact the Alameda County Sheriff's Office at 510-667-7721.
