Christian Bale may play Steve Jobs in the so far untitled film Aaron Sorkin wrote for Sony.

I'm not sure he's fit to follow in Ashton Kutcher's footsteps, but I guess he can give it a try.

According to TheWrap, David Fincher agreed to direct the film only if Bale would play Jobs. Scott Rudin and Mark Gordon are producing with Film 360's Guymon Casady.

The website reported Bale hasn't actually been approached to play Jobs, as the actor is taking a break to spend time with his family, after finishing work on Ridley Scott's "Exodus," in which he plays Moses.

But the media will go ahead and accept the Jobs job for him.

Sony declined comment and Bale's rep didn't immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.
