FREMONT -- A motorist who reportedly ran a red light in downtown Fremont caused a three-car crash Thursday afternoon that sent one woman to the hospital, police said.
The collision at 12:10 p.m. took place at the intersection of Mowry Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway, said police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
The injured woman, described as elderly by police, was taken to a hospital to be treated for neck pain.
Officers shut down the intersection for about 1¿1/2hours to investigate the crash and cited one of the drivers for running the light.
