OAKLAND -- At least one person was shot Thursday afternoon in East Oakland, police said.

Officers were dispatched at 2:11 p.m. to the intersection of International Boulevard and 94th Avenue for a report of multiple shots being fired, said police spokeswoman Johnna Watson.

When officers arrived on scene they found a male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.

The condition of the victim was not immediately available.

No arrests have been made and no motive has been established for the shooting, Watson said.
