SAN JOSE -- A drive-by shooting on a residential street near Eastridge Center sent one person to the hospital with wounds not considered life-threatening around 5:15 p.m. Monday, police said.

Two residents were standing in a driveway and talking when a vehicle came down the block and a gunman leaned out the window, firing three or four shots in their direction, said San Jose police spokeswoman Sgt. Heather Randol.

One of the residents was struck at least once, and bullets also went into the occupied home, San Jose police said.

No suspects have been arrested, and the matter remains under investigation.
