FREMONT -- A masked suspect robbed two employees at gunpoint at a nail salon last week in the city's Warm Springs neighborhood, police said Monday.

No one was injured in the armed robbery but two customers were inside the store when the heist occurred.

Officers were dispatched at 4:45 p.m. Friday to Nail Perfection at 47878 Warm Springs Blvd. after an employee dialed 911, said Sgt. Jeffrey Campbell.

Witnesses told police two employees and two customers were inside the shop when a masked gunman walked in and demanded cash, Campbell said. One of the employees complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the store.

Police described the suspect as an Asian man, early to mid 20s, 5-feet 4-inches and 130 pounds. He wore dark clothing and had his face partially covered with a mask.

As of Monday no arrest had been made, police said.

The incident marked the first armed robbery at the nail salon, Campbell said.
