Amanda Bynes is fine. Really. Her lawyer has spoken -- which is as close as we get to news about the actress these days while she maintains her silence.
Tamar Arminak opened up to People magazine recently to put an end to continued rumors about Bynes' mental health since her very public breakdown last year.
First up: Bynes is medication-free, following her evaluation last year in a psychiatric hospital. Also, don't expect a repeat of the bong tossing out an apartment window that allegedly occurred when Bynes was arrested last year. "Amanda currently is on zero medication," Arminak said. "She's devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. She's never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she's proud to say she's been marijuana-free for the past nine months."
Also, enough with the rumors about what caused Bynes' breakdown -- something the family is still trying to determine. Arminak added. "For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it."
Bynes' behavior included tweeting strange messages, shaving her head, posting almost-nude selfies online and lighting a fire in a stranger's California driveway. Bynes underwent rehab last year and has been in her parents' care since her release.
A source told People that Bynes is continuing outpatient therapy several times a week.
While Bynes has expressed a desire to keep her medical information private, Arminak was granted permission to talk and clear up some rumors. "She has remained silent because she believed it was best to keep her mental health diagnosis private."
