SAN JOSE -- A fight on a residential street in East San Jose left three men hospitalized Friday night, two with stab wounds, according to police.

San Jose police were called to the 1500 block of E. San Fernando Street, near Highway 101 and Santa Clara Street, around 9:15 p.m. on reports that there was a physical brawl going on. Officers found two victims each suffering from at least one stab wound.

A short time later, a suspect was also located and found with unspecified wounds he suffered in the altercation.

All parties were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said they don't know the motive for the fight, but it does not appear to be gang related. All involved parties appear to know each other, police said.
