GILROY -- One man was injured and another arrested in an early morning stabbing in Gilroy, police said.
Around 12:25 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Tenth Street for a report of a fight between two men. When police arrived, they found one man, who has not been identified, suffering from several stab wounds to his upper body, according to Sgt. Geoff Guerin. The man was taken to a trauma center where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Gilroy resident Ernest Brazwell on suspicion of attempted murder, Guerin added. Brazwell was transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
This fight and stabbing do not appear to be gang related, according to police.
