MILPITAS -- This seems to be the city that keeps on giving Lotto wins.
Another lucky lottery player in Milpitas won more than a million dollars this week, according to lottery officials.
On Thursday, customer Vinayak Pandit bought the winning ticket, a $2 California Lucky for Life Scratchers, at Victoria Liquors, located at 22 S. Park Victoria Drive, according to a news release from the California Lottery.
After scratching the ticket, Pandit discovered a "LIFE" symbol, which earns him $1,000 a week for 25 years, or $1.3 million total, according to lottery officials.
The owner of Victoria Liquors will also receive a $6,500 monetary prize for selling the ticket.
According to the statement, Pandit can collect his winnings in weekly sums, or can cash out at a lump sum of $750,000 immediately.
This is not the first time a lottery player has struck it rich in Milpitas. In February, another winning lottery ticket was sold at the Dixon Landing Chevron. That ticket won the $425 million Powerball jackpot.
