The Warriors have abandoned plans for a waterfront arena, agreeing to purchase land in San Francisco from Salesforce.com where the team will build a new arena off Third Street, SF Weekly reported.

The Warriors' reported purchase would end the team's pursuit of a waterfront arena on Piers 30-32 in San Francisco.

A deal between the Warriors and Salesforce would come on the heels of many land deals between Salesfore and the Dogpatch-area land it owns, SF Weekly reported. Salesforce announced last week it would be the main tenant in the future Transbay Tower as part of a $560 million, 15 1/2-year proposal. Salesforce also bought additional land on the Mission Bay property for a reported $250 million in 2010.
