Midnight Red is one of the top new "boy bands" on the scene.
The group, which once went by the name FLYTE, turned heads as an opening act on the big New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys Tour in 2011.
Now, the group is opening up for The Wanted on its current trek, which touches down Monday at the Warfield in San Francisco.
Cassio Monroe is also on the bill. Tickets are $29.50-$40, www.axs.com.
Boy George rocketed to worldwide fame in the early '80s as the leader of the sensational New Wave/pop act Culture Club.
The band's first two albums -- 1982's "Kissing to be Clever" and 1983's "Colour by Numbers" -- were just loaded with good tunes, including such smashes as "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me," "Church of the Poison Mind," "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" and "Karma Chameleon."
Boy George is currently on tour in support of last year's solo effort "This Is What I Do" and performs Monday at the Fillmore in San Francisco.
Show time is 8 p.m. and tickets are $35, www.livenation.com.
