SAN LEANDRO -- The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating an at-risk woman who disappeared last week.
Yolanda Carroll, 52, was last seen about 3 p.m. Thursday near the corner of East 14th Street and Ashland Avenue, Sgt. J.D. Nelson said.
Carroll, who authorities say has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, is known to frequent the Bayfair and San Leandro BART stations and the Bayfair Mall.
She is described as a black woman who is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes, salt-and-pepper hair, a dark brown complexion and a birthmark on the left side of her face.
She was last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt with orange stripes on the arms, blue jeans and gray shoes.
