Most people know him as Dr. Gregory House from "House," the Golden Globe-winning drama that ran on Fox-TV from 2004 to 2012.

Yet, Hugh Laurie is more than just an acclaimed actor -- he's also a fine singer and multi-instrumentalist.

He is currently on the road supporting his second studio album -- 2013's bluesy, jazzy "Didn't It Rain" -- and performs with the Copper Bottom Band on Tuesday at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. Show time is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $30-$99.50, www.ticketmaster.com.

Laurie also performs Wednesday at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Show time is 8 p.m. and tickets are $49.50, www.livenation.com.

It's Toby time: After notching five consecutive No. 1 albums -- one per year, from 2007 to 2011 -- Toby Keith has cooled off a bit on the charts.

His recent outings, including last year's "Drinks After Work," haven't produced the kind of commercial results that we've come to expect from this multiplatinum cowboy.

Still, Keith remains an incredibly popular attraction at the gate and should draw a big crowd to Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on Saturday.

Colt Ford and Krystal Keith open the 7 p.m. show. Tickets are $24.25-$88.50, www.livenation.com.
