Blue Jays 10, Cubs 4: Holden Smith had two hits, three RBIs and pitched four innings in the win. Coleman Ouimet added two hits and drove in two runs. The Jays received solid defense from Jack Stehr, at second base and behind the plate. For the Cubs, Marshall Drake was flawless in centerfield and Jordon Rhorer pitched well in relief, striking out two of three batters faced. Luc Mollard led the Cubs with three doubles.
Royals 15, Marlins 5: Liam Rizzo, Gabe Matta, Ben Isola, Ben Rapson, and Lorenzo Bartalotti each had three hits to lead the Royals over the Marlins. Rizzo drove in five runs with a home run and two doubles, and Bartalotti and Rapson contributed triples to pace the Royals.
Cubs 5, Blue Jays 2: The Jays were stifled by stellar pitching from the Cubs' Oliver Purves and Eli Berrick. The Cubs defense was led by highlights playhs from Lucca Cost, in right field, and catcher Luc Mollard, who mowed down a runner trying to score from third base. For the Jays, Aidan Weinstein collected two singles, Zach Kirchstetter had a double, and Cole Dupee contributed single. Max Davidoff anchored the defense with steady glove work.
Rays 11, A's 6: Doubles by Michael Paltiel and Luke Franco scored Hugh Velline and Andrew Oster to give the Rays an early 4-1 lead over the A's. The Rays' Takeo Prather earned a win on the mound and helped his own cause with a key single that cleared the bases in the fifth. Oren Rose Strochlic and Thomas Richardson backed Prather with stifling defense. For the A's, Mattias Limon went 3 for 3 including a home run and Andrew Herman hit a two-run double.
Pirates 18, Giants 6: J.D. Klopotowski hit a grand slam and a three-run homer to pace the Pirates offense in a battle of first place teams. Dylan Moore and Rieth Collard homered for the Bucs, while Kevin Hillesland collected four hits and Sandler Douglas added three. On the mound, Klopotowski and Collard combined for four scoreless innings. The Giants Rudy Broome hit a three-run home run and a double, and after missing 13 games Ben Huntington added a single and pitched well.
Rays 10, Marlins 2: The Rays ended the regular season with a 2-0 victory over the Marlins. Thomas Richardson earned the win and pitched a complete game. The Marlins kept it as close with great defensive plays by D.J. Avent and Aidan Young but in the end the Rays offense wouldn't be held down. For the Rays, Oren Rose-Strochlic terrorized the base paths and Michael Paltiel (2 1B), Leo Kelly (2 1B) and Andrew Oster (1B, HBP) led the offense.
Nationals 9, Tigers 4: Will Herbert led the Nationals with four RBI, including a three-run line drive home run. Starting pitcher Teo Von Elgg earned the win and Leroy Yao and Hugo May combined for several scoreless no-hit innings of relief. Darius Zucker, Von Elgg and Elliott Newton combined for six hits and six runs. For the Tigers, Teo Surasky and Neo Radcliffe each scored a run and added two hits apiece. Anand Mehta pitched well for the Tigers.
