Casey Kasem's health has worsened, just days after his daughter took legal custody of the radio icon and admitted him to a Washington State hospital, according to Seattle news outlet KomoNews.com.

Kasem's wife Jean Kasem has been battling Kasem's children for months over his care and whether they could visit him. She took her husband to Washington last month, where a judge last week affirmed a Los Angeles judge's earlier decision to allow his daughter Kerri Kasem to take the 82-year-old radio legend to be examined by a doctor. He has been diagnosed with debilitating dementia, among other health problems.

Reports say Kasem is in a hospital in Pierce County. A spokesman for his daughter says his family has gathered at the hospital.

When Kerri Kasem moved her father by ambulance Sunday from a Washington home to the hospital, Jean Kasem confronted her and tossed a pound of raw hamburger meat in her direction, while shouting something about "King David" and "rabid dogs."

Kasem's condition hasn't been officially reported as of late Thursday morning. At last week's hearing, Kerri Kasem said her father is suffering from bedsores and lung and bladder infections.
