PG&E is working to repair a power outage that affected thousands of customers in Oakland this morning, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
The outage, which initially affected about 1,952 customers, was reported shortly after 1 a.m., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
The outage is affecting customers near Jack London Square in an area including Fourth Street, Clay Street and East Eighth Street, she said.
As of 6 a.m., power has been restored to all but 88 customers, Morris said.
Power is estimated to be restored to the remaining customers by about 11 a.m., she said.
