OAKLAND -- A small boy and a man in his 20s were both injured in a shooting Monday afternoon, police said.

Police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said that shortly after 5 p.m. officers responded to the 6500 block of International Boulevard for a report of a shooting. Police do not know yet where the shots were fired from or if a car was involved. Officers located the boy, who is about 3 years old, and the man, who were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Both are expected to survive.

Police do not yet have a motive in the shooting and no arrests have been made.
