President Barack Obama will return to Silicon Valley next month for a fundraiser to benefit the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, only two and half months after his last visit.
Tickets for the July 23 event at the Los Altos Hills home of real estate developer and Democratic benefactor George Marcus start at $10,000 per person, including a photo opportunity and lunch, or $32,400 per couple, including a VIP photo opportunity and lunch.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, DCCC Chairman Steve Israel, D-N.Y., and Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Palo Alto, also are scheduled to attend.
Obama headlined two Democratic National Committee fundraisers May 8 in Los Altos and San Jose. Last year, he was in the Bay Area for Democratic fundraisers in April, June and November.
This will be the president's eighth fundraiser this year specifically on behalf of House Democrats. Past events have been in Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Maryland, Minneapolis and Dallas.
The most recent Federal Election Commission reports show the DCCC has out-raised the National Republican Congressional Committee by $20.8 million in this 2013-14 election cycle and had $11.5 million more cash on hand.
