Drake and Lil Wayne are hitting the road together.
The two multiplatinum hip-hop stars have announced plans for their co-headlining Drake Vs Lil Wayne Tour. The trek touches down Sept. 16 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.
Tickets for the Shoreline gig are $35-$139.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. June 20 at www.livenation.com. Presale tickets are available for Citi card members (see www.citiprivatepass.com for more information).
The tour also stops Sept. 17 at Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Wheatland.
In all, the Drake Vs. Lil Wayne Tour will stop in 31 cities in the U.S.
The tour presents two of hip-hop's top stars.
Drake's three studio albums -- 2010's "Thank Me Later," 2011's "Take Care" and 2013's "Nothing Was the Same" -- have all achieved platinum-plus sales in the U.S. His most recent solo trek -- dubbed Would You Like a Tour? -- drew a full house to Oracle Arena in Oakland in late 2013.
Wayne is best known for his "Tha Carter" series of albums, which have sold millions of copies. A fifth chapter to "Tha Carter" is reportedly due out later this year.
